Wat Tham Suea is a temple and tourist attraction located on a hilltop in Tha Muang District. Kanchanaburi Adjacent to Wat Tham Khao Noi, a Chinese temple located behind It is known for its scenery surrounded by rice fields and enshrining a large Buddha image. Reverend Father Chinprathan. The temple consists of buildings and pagodas. Thai, Chinese, Japanese and blended architecture. Originally, it was a small monastery in the area of Tiger Cave below the hillside. Later, villagers joined together to build and restore. until it became a large temple and is beautiful.
In front of the temple is the Mae Klong River and surrounded by fields. The side part is adjacent to the Chinese architecture pagoda. and the Chinese cab of Wat Tham Khao Noi adjacent Both Wat Tham Suea and Wat Tham Khao Noi were featured as the main filming locations for the music video for Love on Me by internationally renowned Swedish artist Galantis in 2016.
Wat Tham Suea started laying the foundation stone for construction in 1973, starting from the construction. Later, in the year 1984, a ceremony was held for pouring out the pillars for construction. "Phra Chedi Ket Kaeo Prasat" that took 7 years to complete the construction is an octagonal chedi, orange brick, 75 meters high, 9 floors, in the middle there is a spiral staircase that can walk up to the top floor. Each floor has windows surrounded by sliding glass panes. and enshrined Buddha images in the window openings the top floor enshrines the Buddha relics. which the Supreme Patriarch came to contain in January 1990.
